- Can you tell us about your journey into content creation?
I’ve been in the blogging and domain-flipping game for quite a while now. Over the years, I’ve dipped my toes into numerous projects and explored various niches. However, after guest posting for this post on ‘88bamboo.co‘ titled Sin Hiap Hin Bar – A Century Old Bar With Unique Flavours, I felt a renewed passion for sharing and exploring. This experience reminded me of how much I love delving into new topics, learning about unique cultures and experiences, and sharing those discoveries with the world. This love for sharing and exploration is what drove me to restart my blogging journey once more.
How did you get started with your first blog or piece of user-generated content?
I began my journey into making money online by working with User-Generated Content (UGC) before it became a trend in recent years. My work involved creating and curating UGC memes, which I would then repost. This strategy helped grow the accounts, which I eventually flipped for profit. You can learn more about my experiences in an interview I gave about four years ago, available at ‘mrwebcapitalist.com‘ under the post ‘How to Make Money on Twitter’.
How do you come up with ideas for your content?
I typically source content ideas from my own experiences, reader feedback, and trending topics in the relationship sphere. Following other curators and staying updated on trends forms a part of my strategy, making SEO & blogging a natural progression for me.
Can you share any tips or advice for others who are thinking about becoming content creators?
Finding something you love to the point where you’re willing to work on it for years on end is crucial for any content creator. Ideas, no matter how profitable, mean nothing if you cannot consistently put in the work. So, instead of just chasing trends or going for what seems profitable, it’s important to find a niche or topic that truly interests you. This passion will fuel your creativity and help you keep going even when things get tough. Remember, consistency is key in content creation, and it’s much easier to be consistent when you’re working on something you love.
How do you handle negative feedback or criticism?
Addressing negative feedback or criticism can often be challenging, but over time, I have learned to view such instances as opportunities for personal and professional growth. Instead of dismissing or ignoring these critiques, I make a conscious effort to take each piece of criticism into consideration. This approach enables me to continually improve and refine my content. I use every critique as a stepping stone to better my work, using it as a tool to scrutinize my content for any potential areas of improvement and make the necessary changes based on the feedback received.
What are your future plans for your content creation career?
I’m excited to be back in the content creation field.
I plan to continue sharing and exploring new topics that catch my interest. I’m particularly interested in exploring more unique cultures and experiences from around the world. Moving forward, I also plan to incorporate more user feedback into my content creation process. This will not only help make my content more relevant and engaging, but it will also give my audience a voice in what I create. With these plans in mind, I’m looking forward to the journey ahead and can’t wait to see where this passion for content creation takes me.
